in short
About the movement.
One question can start a conversation.
One million conversations can change the world.
One Million Conversations is a global movement bringing young people, parents, educators, and organizations together to talk about what it really means to grow up in the age of technology and AI. We listen to young people, turn what they tell us into insight, and turn that insight into tools and action that make digital childhood safer.
Our DNA.
Grounded in the Danish Way:
an approach built on trust, empathy, and togetherness. It draws on Denmark’s consistent ranking as one of the world’s happiest countries and a global leader in trust, wellbeing, and healthy digital habits. Nationally rooted, internationally focused; our values are built in one place, made to travel everywhere.

Three fundable programs.
01
Research for a Better Digital Future
Discover what actually works.
Independent evidence on children’s digital lives, and whether relational approaches built on connection, conversation, and trust can measurably improve their digital wellbeing. The first C.A.R.E. studies launch in Denmark and Perugia this fall, led independently by Stine Liv Johansen (Aarhus University) and Michele Capurso (University of Perugia).
A funder helps build
The independent evidence base, what works, for whom, and why.
Funding can support
Researcher time, research design, sites and cohorts, data collection and analysis, longitudinal follow-up, publication.
What it creates
Credible, independent evidence that strengthens every program.
02
Youth Ambassador Leadership Programme
Young people leading change with young people.
Young people listen to young people. Ambassadors get the training, tools, and support to lead conversations, engage peers and families, and build healthier digital cultures.
A funder helps build
Trained young leaders driving change across their school and community.
Funding can support
Youth and educator training, tools and materials, mentoring, youth-led activities, evaluation.
What it creates
A multiplier effect, ambassadors to peers to conversations to families to shared values, with reach measurable over time.
03
Conversation Tools
Playful tools that turn hard topics into easy conversations.
Playful, accessible tools that help children, families, and schools talk about digital life, from the Conversation Cards and games to new tools in development. The cards are a tool; the conversation is the intervention.
A funder helps build
Practical tools for families, schools, Youth Ambassadors, and communities, accessible to those who’d otherwise go without.
Funding can support
R&D, co-creation with young people and educators, design and testing, production, materials, facilitator resources, distribution.
What it creates
Scalable, playful ways to turn ideas about healthier digital life into real conversations and shared practice.
partnership tracks
Together for a better digital future.
Play for a Better Digital Future is a movement designed to spark meaningful conversations between children and the adults around them, using play and conversation to build connection, trust and confidence in children’s digital lives.
We believe children should not face the digital future alone. They deserve trusted adults who listen, safe spaces to ask for help, and the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices.
I will believe in this:
I will help spread this:
I will help bring it to life:
I will support it directly:
Building a healthier digital future is a shared responsibility.
We invite organisations, businesses and individuals to join the movement in different ways, by standing behind its principles, helping spread the conversation, bringing it to life in real-world settings, or contributing the funding, expertise and resources needed to grow its impact.
Don’t say “no.” Say “know.”
Meet technology with curiosity, not fear. Get understanding, talk, and help kids build their own judgment.
“Your child is using AI. Have you asked them what they think about it? Start a conversation, one of one million.”
